I’m old. Once upon a time ‘screen savers’ were used for …saving screens, I swear it’s the truth :-) I would’ve bet money on screensavers disappearing when CRT monitors did, but that certainly did not happen. It exploded. I kind of expect that someone by now have created a screensaver …plugin for another screensaver…

I read a comment somewhere that Stremio uploads like a normal client. Just a comment oc, but it should be easy to check for a network savvy reader. It may be that the plugin does it, dunno.

You need more than a llm to do that. You need a Cognitive Architecture around the model that include RAG to store/retrieve the data. I would start with an agent network (CA) that already includes the workflow you ask for. This seemed to be read-only tho, so not sure if it covers the use case you described. If you can program a little (AI help?) find a simple fuse filesystem in a language you know, fiddle with it and call ffmpeg or similar on receiving files.

Cheapest upgrade? Cram an old Android mobile in the USB port, and run a few services on that via Termux…

Image recognition, speech2txt, txt2speech, classification and such smaller models. They are fast but have no memory worth mentioning and are heavily dependent on data access speed. Afaik, transformer based models are hugely memory bound and may not be a good match if run on these externally via Usb3.

I feel hustled, bc I recommended Signal to others :-( However, ANY contact with the US elite is a clear sign of the NSA/CIA/NED propaganda/spying network. I think It is safest for everyone, to voluntarily adopt the Russian, Chinese, Iranian, etc blocklist/firewall of western big-tech propaganda and spy methods, and seek out trustworthy open source. I sense a polarization brewing. Just an anecdotal observation oc, but I think a lot of people have placed human cognition/brain/experience on a huge pedestal - as something uniquely in a league of its own. It seem to me to be the same people also arguing against true artificial intelligence, arguing for free will or arguing that the mind have non-physical abilities. They also seem to ignore collective intelligence and focus on individualist intelligence, which makes them underestimate the difference between a human raised well now, and a 100% feral human without contact to collective cultural intelligence.

I don’t know if its roughly the same group or if the observation is even valid, but the debate might become harder and more entrenched if it is. We will keep arguing over some disagreement that is really caused by some ‘unrelated’ belief structure.

EU elite are the same liberal/capitalist clowns as in the US (funded by oligarchs), and they don’t give a shit about EU citizens or our privacy. All capitalist corporation act the same psychotic way and should be shut down, but this is pure protectionism against US big tech.

Not that I complain about FB and other big tech platforms being hunted by EU, but it would be better if it was a genuine wish to protect their citizens against Capitalist psychopathy.
