Thought of going with a shirt only at work and I could not made a worse choice. I will have to look for a new job soon.
May should have went with a shirt and pants :)

I can’t believe people were buying into their “franchise”. They approached me in 2020 when they were trying to expand into the town I live and I had a downtown warehouse to operate out of. After they got done explaining everything, I laughed until they hung up.
You had to buy the scooters from them at around $600 each, you were responsible for all the recovery/batteries/maintenance/damage/theft caused by customers, warranty was non-existent (“call our chinese supplier and they will totally hook you up”), and after that they took 20% off the top. Some quick math put it at over 6 months before each scooter became profitable IF nothing happened to it in that time. Someone throws it in the canal just to be a dick? Sucks to be you, you’re out $600 + whatever else you’ve put into it every time it happens.
Really came off to me that they were making their money selling to suckers who thought they were going to be entrepreneurs.
Edit: They did apparently did get someone here into it because I saw them around for a few months before disappearing completely.
I doubt he’s broke. Far more likely that he’s just a bigot.
Not too shabby. Weather is cooling off, days getting shorter, I love it. Work is good. Hired some random cat off the street a couple weeks ago, and while he may not be the most productive member of the team, he’s fitting right in.
High highs, low lows so far. Monday morning an adorable kitten wandered into my mechanic shop and applied for a job. He’s official pest control manager now unless I find where he came from. He doesn’t know a litter box or the sound of a cat food can opening so it’s probably a stray/feral. But it’s one of the most affectionate cats I’ve come across in a long time.
Tuesday leaving work after a meeting/pets with the new employee, I made it about 2 blocks and someone ran a stop sign and hit me. I’m ok, they are apparently ok (I stayed far back to keep it civil) but my poor 30 year old truck took a pretty hard hit. It’s nothing special to anyone else; but I like it, and have put a lot of blood, sweat, and time into it. Hoping it’s not as bad as it looks.
Anyways, here’s the cat tax: https://i.imgur.com/ntvdV4V.jpg Hope it brightens y’all’s day.
With the assets already there, the mod opportunities are endless.
I think Nexus should be able to ultimately decide what they do/don’t host on their platform. Regardless what it is. They have many mods that aren’t my taste. I don’t install them.
I’m also bit worried as folks told me you can miss certain side quests if you advance too fast,
Yeah if you’re wanting to do as many side missions as possible, it’s best to do all the white colored missions first. The yellow one’s aren’t going anywhere and they are sometimes chapter milestones that can lock you out of side missions. But I wouldn’t worry too much about it. A. There are so many quests that are only available at a certain time/place or after certain events, you’ll never hit them all in one play through. and B.
You can play a lot of the side missions you missed in the epilogue. Albeit with different dialog.
Take your time and enjoy it, definitely worth it.
Now I’m going to have to fire it up later just to spend a couple hours roaming the wilderness camping, hunting, and fishing with my “Never leaving chapter 3 Arthur”
Cautiously optimistic. Weather is looking pleasant all week. I’ve managed to get my backlog at work down from about 6 months to 2, so that’s a lot less stress.
Prepping for a dirt bike race next month (hare scramble) and it’s been 4 years since I have; I’m super out of shape but it’ll be fun.
No, I played it at release and was HOOKED. I remember clearing a 3 day holiday weekend so I could play through the whole thing (for the second or third time) in one sitting.
I had somehow missed that a HD remaster was released a couple years ago, so I gave it a shot and got sucked right back in. Still a fantastic game, even if the cut scenes and voice acting are a little dated.
For anyone who hasn’t played it, it’s abandonware now.

Still on a space game kick. Finished up Freelancer and started playing No Man’s Sky’s recent “Voyagers” expedition. It’s still got over a month left so I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t played the game in a while. Just to see whats new; It’s come a long way.
And picked up Hardspace: Shipbreaker on sale for when NMS starts getting monotonous.
Wholeheartedly agree. Beehaw’s vibe always felt more like a forum than a feed aggregator. I think that format would fit it better.

Hang in there. I had all mine pulled a few months ago and after the 2nd or 3rd day my mouth still hurt but I felt so much healthier overall. I lived on smoothies and mashed potatoes that first week. Only regret was not having it done years ago.
It’s been a slog with the weather being 105+F outside and 90-95F inside where I have to work. But it’s over now. Got a weekend to rest and hide inside playing video games. I feel sorry for my neglected garden but it’s been so hot I just can’t give it the attention it needs.
And it’s being bankrolled by Tencent.
I had it happen last week. I got a “we see you’ve received your package, how do you like it?” email. Except I hadn’t. Tracking showed it dropped off 2 days earlier. My office door is open to a busy sidewalk and often unattended so I assumed the worst.
Finally found the culprit on camera. When the carrier left the package, they put it on top of a pile of other packages. As they were leaving, a gust of wind blew it straight into a nearby trash can. Where I happen to put all the empty packages, so it didn’t look out of place. And of course that was the day the trash gets taken out.
Kind of comical in hindsight. Just glad it wasn’t really anything important.
We already have the tech to let signal lights at intersections know emergency vehicles are approaching so they can direct traffic accordingly. No reason this couldn’t be adopted to autonomous vehicles.
They are surprisingly hardy. I’m in 6b and they survive being planted out in the yard.
Also cyclists. If there is a person behind traveling faster than you, Get over when it is safe and allow them to pass. If that’s an inconvenience, you should have “left the house a few minutes earlier”.
I’ve raced motorcycles 2 decades now and this is brought up in every safety meeting. If the rider behind you is faster, let them pass, regardless of how important you think your run is. It’s safer for everybody.
