  • We had bikes before cars, that wasn’t the problem. People wanted the luxury of cars. You could go faster in heated comfort along with your entire family and cargo for hundreds of miles with next to no effort in virtually any kind of weather, something bikes still can not do.

Even if we had modern tech with bikes 200 years ago the rise of cars was inevitable due to their convenience and low cost at the time. Combine that with the push of the car industry and that most people were unaware of the true cost of the damage cars were causing, and bikes never stood a chance. Even now, bikes simply can’t replace cars for everyone but at least they can make a dent in the problems that got us here.

  • I have one orange tabby that absolutely adores belly rubs. He goes into a complete overload and sprawls right out purring so loud you can hear him from the next room. If you stop he’ll swat at your hand and try to pull you back in.

His twin brother isn’t terribly keen on pets in general though, although we’re still working on him. (They were both strays we took in.)

Like anime_ted said, it’s likely her gut biome. One of the cats I took in (Moops) used to be able to kill a canary from a quarter mile away when he’d drop a load. You could always tell if it was him in the litter box no matter where you were in the house.

I think it took about 6 months to a year before the demons in his butt settled down and we could breathe easy again.
