It’s maybe sorta simple and lacking advanced features or even stuff like incremental file downloading in qbittorrent but on macos it feels like it’s the same app today that it was 15 years ago - it works and is stable and light on resources especially with modern systems. Hasn’t looked even a morsel different since I was in high school. Actually weirdly impressive especially considering changes to apple and macos apps over the years due to os changes some old apps just won’t launch on new macos versions

Oh yeah I forgot about the fuckin bugs, that doesn’t help. Mission checkpoints not showing markers or locations or literally one side quest that was bugged stuck on the last step to talk to an npc and you do and make sure you’ve exhausted all the dialogue options and he’s like yeah it’s fine now thanks bye but the checkpoint just doesn’t clear like wtf

I’m the type who likes to explore everything in an open world game with main and side quests with stuff like red dead redemptions and gtas despite rockstar’s issues the missions are clear and flow smoothly and you choose to either explore side stuff or do main quest stuff but the clusterfuck of stargate menu/map/missions UX and general bugginess and the whole galactic map concept as an open world and so much else to keep chart of it’s like okay do I just do whatever and hope my character can handle whatever the fuck missions and quests and fights I stumble into lol

Okay but the map being stupidly indecipherable at first while also having to find specific locations for missions was just bad honestly it was mass effect but fallout lol

Thing about those modern sleek more compact wallets just make me feel like I couldn’t use them because they wouldn’t fit every use case I have for my wallet. Like I guess if you only have a couple debit/credit cards plus ID and otherwise use like apple or android pay and I guess hardly ever or never use cash. I mean use in a typical everyday transaction, sure they can hold like folded up bills neatly but did everyone forget change exists? In every use of cash id have to stuff coins in some free pocket and a lot of circulating bills aren’t exactly as crisp and foldable as a stock certificate lol

Piped works mediocre at best and the quality settings and buffer is finicky depending on your settings. It’s not worth the hassle imo because it doesn’t even have Sponsorblock. Sadly on iOS I usually just stick to default YouTube app mostly with no Sponsorblock. But soon I want to try some of the modified youtube apps from Altstore.

On Android TV on my sony bedroom tv I recently switched from the default YouTube app to Smarttube which is GOAT tbh I had no idea what I was missing. I wish I could get that but on iOS yaknow?
