Great, thank you!

Yes, forpus name their chicks
At least, it doesn’t say ‘kindly’
I trust them, but always remain vigilant, because things can change over time. But the founders initially were scientists who met at CERN, not a company that launched a product. That tells me quite a lot. Yes, over time they are becoming more professional, maybe more like a regular company, but i feel that privacy is still the main priority for them. They also organize a yearly event and the money they raise goes to certain projects that are related to privacy and freedom (if i remember correctly for instance to help journalists remain free press and things like that). Yes, it’s one of the few companies that i really trust.
Also, yes, they sometimes are forced to give info to authorities (and they are quite open about that and explain what happened if people ask about that), but don’t forget that they don’t have much info on their clients, because everything is encrypted and they just cannot see what’s inside a mail, for instance. So, they can’t share that.
Slightly off topic maybe, but it dawned on me that what happens in this tale is not so different from what happens in Iran…and that made it even more terrifying, together with what is happening in the US with all those creepy right-wingers taking away women’s rights bit by bit
Usually Photon, occasionally Alexandrite or switching to the regular Lemmy interface.
Just as a heads up to everyone, so not OP obviously; Never buy lamps that are marketed as grow lights; that is just a scam to sell you way overpriced lighting. You also generally don’t need to buy these purple lights, because white lamps include these colors already, so unless you go for very specific effects, just buy a full spectrum light. I usually just do a search for suitable light temperature etc for my plants, probably around 4000 K or so, and then buy a led light. Don’t buy lamps that can become hot, so as not to burn the plants.
Not sure, but i do know that it doesn’t carry over from the reddit version.
See the featured post; follow that link. Don’t go to the regular Boost in the play store
I’m just keeping a few, in case anything breaks in Boost. I used a lot of apps, but lately really liked Connect. However, there was a bug in there that only some people experienced, where i could not read any comments in one of my accounts. So, just in case something like that happens in Boost, i’m keeping two other apps around.
The dev made a featured post. In there, you will find a special link to the beta testing part. So, ignore the boost app where it says you registered. Just follow the link in the Lemmy post (pinned at the top)
Lemmy has no ads, they exclusively work with donations, i think. But Boost has ads.
I was wondering the same thing. I’m guessing it will stick, otherwise - i assume - that option would probably not be visible for us just yet.
Btw, you can’t login with 2Fa.
There was a user, don’t remember who, who said:
For anyone unable to login due to 2FA: a workaround for now is to login elsewhere, disable 2FA, login to Boost, then re-enable 2FA. Bit of a pain because you get a new token but as long as you don’t log out of Boost it appears to stick.
Look for the pinned post that the dev made; in it you’ll find a special link to go to the beta access. So, ignore the ‘ordinary’ boost for lemmy link where you can register. Hope this helps!
It certainly does! Thank you for your very quick reply
