  • I finally managed to get into Breath of the Wild the other night after getting it on launch day and never enjoying it. I played 9 hours solid, then had to go to work for a few days, so I’m looking forward to going home more than usual.

Other than that, there’s the seemingly endless hunt for my last 3 Monster Hunter World achievements (only ~480 hours in, so I’m doing ok). Also, I’ve finally got around to trying Suicide Squad, and I kinda dig it so far. Just gotta clear my plate a bit for the PC release of FF16 in a few weeks, but I can almost guarantee I’ll be too stuck into either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom to play it.

  • I had to go back and check to make sure I wasn’t misremembering the old mod but I did mention Colony Manager, it used to do this back in a much earlier version, but it hasn’t been possible for ages. The tutorial video for the production tab is still there on the mod page. It stopped getting updated due to a lack of time and some people have asked for it back over the years. Having seen it in action in the past is probably why I want it so much now.

  • Yeah that’s the one I’m using. My problem with it (not a “problem” really, but it’s not what I’m looking for) is that if you add something new to the main workbench you still have to go and link that order to the other ones, and if you build a new bench you need to go and copy everything again. If you were low on cloth for example and wanted to stop using it altogether you’d have to check all of your clothing, medicine, fabrication, whatever to make sure there were no orders.

What I’m looking for is something like a master production terminal. You tell it you want a pair of pants, line of yayo and 10 lavish meals, then it’ll send the orders to the tailor bench, drug bench and stove. Building a second stove would automatically add the bill to keep the meals stocked. I just want one place where every pending work order is listed. And we’re getting further into wish list territory here but it’d be ideal if you needed a pawn to go and confirm the orders to send them where they need to go.

I realise this is pretty specific and I don’t think it exists at the moment, so like I said I’d be willing to commission it if any modders are up for it.

  • I’m partway through it, playing as a character with good stealth and persuasion. The only other faction line I’ve done is the Ranger one, and this one is much more fun & interesting. My only complaint is that the missions are a little too quick & simple, especially considering I’m still trying to get the hang of travelling without fast-travelling but I always manage to make multiple jumps instantly by accident.

  • How do you feel and what do you think are pretty much opposite questions though, one’s asking for a reaction and one’s asking for analysis. So far in my experience the game has been pretty good about different dialogue options, I’ve reloaded a bunch of conversations to explore the directions they can take, it’s not like say Pokemon where you always have 2 choices and they always lead to the same line of dialogue that addresses both.

I’ve got well above the recommended specs but the game runs too badly for me to play, sadly. Every voice file is delayed by a few seconds (which is an eternity in lip-sync time) and the game stutters & freezes constantly, in both interior & exterior cells. I haven’t played since the latest update to see if anything improved, but I’ve easily got over 1000 hours in everything from Oblivion to Fallout 4 and had every intention of sinking the same kind of time into Starfield.

  • Only text channels I believe. There’s a sidebar sort of like the one in the actual Discord app that shows your inbox, SMS, Messenger, etc. Discord servers show up in there, then when you select one it shows you the list of channels as though they’re regular conversations. You can set whether or not they show up in your inbox and/or notify you individually for each channel, and the ones you don’t want you just set to low priority and they’ll be hidden. It’s not a perfect replacement, but if you don’t need voice/streaming it works fine.
