I would suggest trying a new game without the food & water need. It really lets you focus on the plot. I also needed to look through a few YouTube videos at various points, because some things aren’t obvious or are easy to miss.

I keep it up to date, like a kind of running CV, but otherwise I don’t interact with it.

I used to, because I had a buggy TP-Link modem/router, & adding a cap was the only way that port forwarding would magically start to work. I have no idea why. The bug never got fixed.

I was considering blocking all posts containing youtube links. No-one wants some opionated arse-monger broadcasting to them in bed.

Nice. I think I do most of these. Have you looked into CalyxOS & GrapheneOS as alternative Android substitutes?

Same boat. Stuck with my Pixel 5 for now.

Cryfs. I sync the directories with syncthing.

I think you may just have to sell it & buy another one direct from Google.
