If capitalism is shit you attack capitalism not a technology.
All the misplaced rage and wasted effort.

Karaage is basically Popcorn Chicken.
Good thing about this is it’s self selecting, all the luddites who refuse to use AI will find themselves at a disadvantage just the same as refusing to use a computer isn’t doing anyone any favours.

Similar for my instance.
You’re showing up on my personal instance as well, so I’d say you’re all good on the Lemmy syncing.
Not sure why you’re not syncing on Mastodon, it might just be a time thing? Maybe check back in a day or so?
Oh yeah I’d love to see tech being incorporated more into learning! I learnt more history from playing Civilization 1 when I was 9 than I did in any of my years of primary or secondary schooling.
I’ve also been inspired by the idea of VR as a teaching tool ever since I saw this Simpsons episode.
We have so much better technology options today, yet it feels like we’ve not utilised them at all. Paper books have been replaced with chromebooks, whiteboards by smartboards, and that’s about it. The same function but in a slightly more convenient form, such wasted potential.
Well what sort of changes would you like to see?
I work in education, and so I’m interested in getting to know how others want to see the world change.
So in an idealised utopian future you would want things to stay the same?
This looks interesting (and really simple to make), I’m going to make it tomorrow for sure!
Mozilla makes hundreds of millions from Google. Every single person could stop donating and they would continue along just fine (Well the CEO might need to take a 10 million yearly pay cut).
What weird is seeing people champion the enshittificstion of FOSS software.
No, I want to automatically cache pages I’ve searched for and visited and have them show up on my searx.
We’re talking like maybe 10 pages a week if that.
I know there’s ArchiveBox, but I’m after something less manual and more integrated.
Is there any sort of way to self host a limited version of this? L
I’d love to be able to have my own Searx also cache everything I visit as I go to it, it’d at least let me refind information I’ve previously found.
That Auroraville map looks like garbage. “Progress Garden”, “Harmony Garden”, “Perfection Garden”, etc. sounds like it was dreamt up by some ‘spiritual’ type who was more concerned with hippy names than any genuine long term plan for a functioning town.
We need realistic plans for living spaces, done with an understanding of the local environment and the needs of the people. They need to be able to evolve and grow naturally as all towns do, not be centrally planned before construction by top-down planners.
Man who sits upside on toilet.
I’ve been getting the same.
Some times it’s fine, other times it can take like 8 hours to “update”.
Someone told me a while ago to restart it every few days, it seems to help a bit.
That’s crazy, I’ve never seen anyone use them here in Australia.
I think because every business has its own little proprietary windows app they need to use for this or that.
That literally tells the story of a people’s losing their livelihood due to capitalist usage of technology, and targeting the technology instead of the systemic issue.
