No. Unlike those, you dont have to unlock the app nd use them, the sandbox is just a normal apk but it dosent allow gservices root access and blocks most telemetry, leaving only the necessary APIs

Well, great, but the fairphone is like 2 months behind on security patches, and they generally never do more than 1 OS update (for comparison, my pixel 7 has gotten 3 now, and with the 2 more years of support its likely to get 5 in total).

So basically instead of getting a phone that works for 8 years, you get a permanent security liability that is more likely to get water damage.

I mean sure, great idea, I would buy a phone with inferior CPU if I can support something good, but instead of something good I’m getting something inferior in every aspect just so I can change the battery in 2 years when I won’t need the phone anyway because they just abandon any kind of timely updates anyway??

If they really wanted to protect the user, they would be open source, (at least the methods of protecting the user from tracking) firefox based and availible for linux and Android FOSS, similar to everything else (Firefox, Molly, Signal, etc). About 1, it was always really fun having 2 ends of the maps as bases and just trying to hold it while trying to portal to the other. At least that’s what I remember. The weapons were also fun (which I can’t say about every weapon except from the fortitude class, since 1 aero’s feels like a paint gun damage wise and the energy gun is an SMG, if someone took it and just completely ruined it for CQC by making the projectiles have the travel time of a sniper firing at 1km.), and the gameplay itself was way less ability centred.
