I recently switched to imgbb after someone without an adblocker showed me a screenshot of one of my posts, but in my opinion everyone should be using uBlock Origin anyway, so I’d be ok with either option. They’re both extremely good image sharing sites.

It works well with Lemmy posts because it allows direct image linking.
If you’re hesitant to whitelist that site, then I hope you will allow https://postimages.org/
The drawback to the latter site is it’s ad-ridden (not a problem with uBO).
Both are superior image sharing sites to imgur, IMHO.
Oh OK. FWIW I don’t think I’ve lost any tabs on Fennec, but I might have changed something in settings.
I like the way tabs look because I’ve never liked the idea of grouping tabs, but I understand people have different preferences

Convenience. I’ve been in situations where it seemed easier at the time to just buy a movie on Amazon. For example, if I’m on vacation or a work trip and I really want to see something.
But that was before I learned about which sites were safe to use for streaming and had high quality content.
Also, I’ve learned that my library still has a large DVD collection, so I apprise myself of that.
I’ve never gotten comfortable with not owning CDs or DVDs. In fact, if I really really like a movie or album, I obtain a physical copy. If it’s an independent artist, I’ll even buy it directly from the record label.
And so far, I’ve been able to stream everything else when I just want to get my entertainment fix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t really like the term “echo chamber,” but that sort of thing makes me realize I’m really in one. Nearly everyone I interact with online just takes things like adblocking and basic internet hygiene for granted, but every so often I encounter someone who reminds me that there are a lot of people who don’t know the first thing about such things.
I remember one time this kid asked me, “What’s Chromium? I have this app called ‘Chromium’ but I don’t know what it’s for,” so I went into a lengthy explanation about how it’s an internet browser, and how Chrome is based on Chromium but that Chromium without Google exists, whereupon they showed me their laptop, and it was severely infected with some obvious malware that put a search bar on their desktop titled “Chromium.”

Oh, I didn’t know this! Might have to consider moving to blahaj … although at this point I’ve blocked enough individual hexbear accounts (and the hexbear instance itself, though this is far less effective) that I rarely ever see them anymore.
I’m having the same problem. I cleared my cache and tried signing out and signing in again, but it’s giving me that same exact message. Hopefully it will work again soon.
I don’t think it’s the client because lemmy.one also upgraded to 0.19.0 recently, and I didn’t have a problem there. I think there are just some bugs with 0.19.0 that need to be worked out in general, because I’m occasionally having some odd behavior, even on Windows and Linux using Firefox.
I’m using Jerboa, and it too behaves weirdly with the upgrade, but clearing my cache and signing in again seems to have fixed it.
Even using a browser on desktop behaved oddly at first, but it seems to be sorting itself out the more I use it. (Can’t really explain why that would be.)
