Tencent will grow to become the anti-Steam, mark my words. They already have their grubby mitts all over devs worldwide, and every single one will live to regret it (or their players, at the very least).

The author was far ahead of his time with these.
Fun fact: King’s Quest I, one of the very first games in the world to use graphics, had puzzles that could be solved in multiple ways. Taking a non-violent approach was the only way to max out your score however. For example, there’s a giant you can kill with a slingshot, or you can tire him out and make him fall asleep for more points.
Ancient Illyria: “Am I a joke to you?”
Stuck on peak, please send rescue.
Those scorpions in the big empty are the worst enemies in the entire game. Always dumping entire mags into them just to whittle their hp down…
I’m pretty firmly in the second category only. I have had the first a few times, but when whatever thing you were so stoked about inevitably fries or fails a few weeks in, you quickly learn to stop doing #1 altogether.
Encrypted DNS traffic => oh noed, what now?
Ozempic and calorie deficit I reckon.
Lol mine does it if I keep perfectly still, so any overwhelming going on is purely of her own making. Luckily she’s tiny and her claws don’t really penetrate. And god, those sorry licks inbetween…
“Haha, they’re weak! Now’s my time to usurp this litter!”
I’ll never stop blaming that goddamn fish for all my problems. Fucker could’ve just stayed in the water ffs.
My place of work used to be downright awesome. Pulled me out of some deep pits when I first ended up there.
Few years ago the owner/CEO sold his 51% shares to another company, and it’s steadily been downhill from there. No more bonuses. No budget for fun stuff. Openings never get filled, but no raises for the remainers either. All the really top people (management & dev) left, most of the ones who stayed weren’t that great (including myself). And then they started filling positions, including the CEO, from the “mother company”.
On paper, it’s still awesome. In practice, it’s anything but.
Took me the better part of two decades to finally land a decent job and I feel like I’m back at square one with nothing to show for it.
Probably on sale for half off by the holidays. I can wait.
I haven’t forked over any $$ to Activision in over a decade, I see no reason to ever change my stance. I don’t feel like I’m missing out either, I simply cannot understand why this franchise ever got as popular as it is, let alone why it remains so popular today. A fool and his money…
Yeah, when the actual mobo and cpu can be taken over remotely, what does the OS even matter?
There’s mods to fix that. I went from 3-4 minutes loading to ~30 sec.
I failed crab in high school :(
Waiter, why did someone splatter diarrhea all over my dish?
