  • Go with a camera to a local meat farm and show us how we have grown.

I’m not trying to be a jackass I’m just trying to understand, when you ask for pictures of a local farm do you mean like pastures? I can totally take some pictures of cow pastures, I pass like 6 on the way to work. I don’t care if it’s illegal, stupid law anyway, but I can totally show you pictures of the exact types of farms I’m talking about.

The reason I made my original comment was to highlight that not all farms are this. To claim otherwise is a falsehood. I think the cause is very noble and I have seen/fully understand there are horrific conditions that go on in some farms. If you however describe a narrative that isn’t true and act like it is, you will only turn people away not draw them in. Food for thought

  • I grew up next to a cow farm as in my house bordered it’s pastures, saw cows give birth, artificial insemination, the pasture conditions, etc. All was the exact opposite of what you described, gassy pasture, plenty of room and all the cow farms in the area are like that. Now don’t get me wrong these are a group of individual farmers that I’m describing, and mass production farms are horrendous but not all cow farms are the hellish conditions you describe.

Team aluminum all the way. A higher up where I work is obsessed with stainless steel, he gets these monstrous heavy duty tables made out of SS that hold objects 1/3 of their weight. Makes lab rearranging a nightmare lol.

Fucking terrifying form of life, I remember seeing this on Animal Planet as a kid. The whole cycle is fascinating, thank god it doesn’t fuck with the birds brains. Can you imagine a parasite trying to pilot an avian? Reiteration: fucking terrifying.

It’s a lot different in academia vs industry for hard sciences. I currently work in industry, we have no options in the things we research but we are funded to the Moon. There is of course some amount of bowing we have to do in order to keep them quiet but that’s about it.

In academia you have to secure your own funding constantly or your project just ends essentially. Academic institutions also look at metrics like impact factor and papers published/time that also effects the availability of funding. I know that people have had to stop pursuing doctorates due to funding issues. Politics in academia is notoriously horrendous.

  • I buy my meds from his online store that he set up solely to compete with the absurd pricing of pharmaceuticals in the us. Saving a good bit too. He also made millionaires of most of the employees from his first successful business before he was a billionaire. I hate billionaires and he has surely done some fucked up things, but Mark Cuban does seem to be cut from a different cloth. I definitely appreciate his pharmacy.
