It took Penny weeks to get comfortable with me after I broke her out of jail. I’ve been her person ever since. I was kinda worried she would never warm up to me there for a while. Now, I can’t sit down without her jumping on my lap or at least getting an earful about how almost empty her bowl has been for a full 36.25 seconds when I walk in the door. It’s awesome when a cat chooses you as their person. Especially, when they’re adopted as an adult carrying around all the trama and fear they may have learned during the time out in the wilds.

412·2 months agoI’m installing Mint for the first time at this very moment. So far, it’s easier than I anticipated. Fuck You Microsoft.
Edit: bro, firstly, what the fuck and where did all this performance come from?!?! I vastly underestimated how many resources windows was hogging. I downloaded Steam (easy-peasy) and then Project Zomboid just as a test. This game runs like butter now. I was having major problems with it before. To the point I basically stopped playing. I know its just one example but I haven’t had my machine run this well in several years, I feel. Also, got Spotify running. Super easy. I need to figure out how to get my VPN set up (ProtonVPN) but so far, I’m kind of in shock. I can’t wait to actually dig in and see what I can do with this new setup.

19·4 months agoWhen I first got the game Factorio, for the first week, I was having full on hallucinations of the little conveyor belt arrows twisting and snaking all over my vision when I closed my eyes. Even when I blinked, id get a flash of some grotesque squirming abomination. Scared the shit outta me because I’d never experienced that before nor even heard of it. I was relieved when I learned it was a known thing but it was still distracting as all hell.
That motherfucker looks like he got stung by a bee and lost his epipen.
Shout out to the mole people in our precious sewers.
Fun fact: There are more hydrogen atoms in a single molecule of water than there are stars in the entire solar system.

2·4 months agoThat was the first aspect of the game that really got my attention. For the first like 8 hours or so, I found myself more excited to hear whatever song was next than whatever the missions or gear upgrade may have been ahead.
I think CP77 is a good game now but the only masterpiece aspect of it is the way they painted over everything with some of the most bizarre and mind bending music in a game. I dont mean the theme music. The sounds your bombarded with just walking through NC is the life force of the city and the #1 reason why it feels alive at all and not just a game city.
The background hum of the city is what sold the whole game for me. Without that, I think CP77 would be kind of another “whatever” FPRPG by now. The music make it a masterpiece.
Shapshifting eldritch horrors are all I’ve ever wanted from Project Zomboid. After 11 years in the making, B42 coming through on those promises.
Look at little good eyed rascal. That’s a #1 in the making, no doubt.
Circles are jerkles.
Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me.
It’s mesmerizing.
Thank you! I appreciate that very much.
Thank you and thanks for noticing! I redid basically everything for this part just so the grain of the wood could be put to good use. The first few iterations of that piece just wasn’t doing it for me… until I realized that’s exactly what I was missing.

81·7 months agoI fucking LOVE okra and I’m glad to see that it’s even good at other things than me turning it into the most delicious, crispy and nutritious snack you’ve ever had. When you cook them right like we do down south (yeee-haw!), they’ll never be slimy like that shit you get in the freezer section at a grocery store.
I got 8 okra stalks just coming up in my garden that will yield me many, many pounds of okra throughout this summer.

That is extremely wholesome. It sounds like she had an amazing kitty life full of attention and care.
