I really hope that FreeCAD will get better with time, and the Blender story will be the same for FreeCAD. Just a few years back, Blender was really bad compared with Maya, now Autodesk lost a huge market because Blender is powerful enough for professional work, probably even better than Maya

The only thing that has the chance to prevent unmaintainable garbage code is a plethora of linting rules.

I use my 3d printer sooo often to print templates for the router. A handheld router and a 3d printer are a combination made in heaven, I love it so much!

I don’t want to set a misunderstanding: this does not solve the state on reboot issue, maybe “flawlessly” is not the correct word. On a reboot, all automations are always stopped, so that does not help here.

It’s also important to set the mode of the automation to “restart”, then it works flawlessly

If you use your phone like 99% of people do, it will be completely fine. If you don’t do gaming or 4K video editing on your phone, there’s no problem. The CPU will even be fine for Instagram face filters for the foreseeable future

My work laptop has Windows installed, but I use VSCode and WSL or EC2 Linux instances solely for my work. VSCodium would not work with that workflow because it lacks the Remote and WSL functionality

Literally the only thing missing from the Fairphone 5 is an optical zoom, otherwise it has all features a modern phone should have. I don’t get why people always want the latest and greatest processing power in their smartphones, when all they do is text and take pictures with it

I like my Galaxy Watch. I use it 95% of the time as a watch, notification reader and fitness tracker only, where a Mi Smart Band would be totally fine for the same functionality, but 5% of the time I use the WearOS functionality which is a great benefit

DEVs do care. As a developer working on something you want to be proud of it. Publishers do not care.
