Oh yeah, I wouldn’t cheat if I were playing with other humans, but sometimes I want to explore depths of a game that time just doesn’t permit, so I gotta skip the grind and get right to the part where I’m unkillable. And yeah, if you’re having fun, that is the point!
Play the games how you want to have fun, and anyone who says otherwise is dead wrong. I’ve dabbled in “cheating” myself, whether it’s giving myself 60 pts for starting traits in Zomboid, or building really unbalanced maps in AoE II and preventing the computers from ever advancing, it’s fun to sometimes modify the rules to benefit me unilaterally.

It’s chaos, but Jon Bois is amazing at putting order to even the most chaotic things. If you don’t know him, he’s purely a sports guy, but he has a number of video series on YouTube that are absolutely great watches, regardless of whether you like sports. I hate (American) football, but he has a number of videos I watched intently, because he does a great job of analyzing random number sets and plotting them out in a way that is visually appealing. Guy is a nut, and it makes for great television (obviously not TV but yeah).
What is it? I guess the distinction is between regrowth and regeneration. I’ll admit regrowth sounded great, because my four front teeth have been shaved down to posts for veneers because of an unfortunate incident with a hockey puck. Sounds like this isn’t for me.
Maybe whipped cream? That or butter. Not a fan of either personally. Although maybe some kind of cream cheese, would probably go well with the jelly. Not a fan of that either, but it’s a thing.

Playing with my six year old daughter on switch. We just finished the community center. I’d played several times before but always fizzled out, as I tend to do with games, but the couch coop is great, although part of it is the company for sure. If this was me in my youth playing with my brother, the game would be much more hostile, as they all were.
Serious Eats has a phenomenal (albeit labor intensive) recipe for beef stew. I’ve made it three times and all three times have been the best stew I’ve ever eaten. And that’s certainly not to toot my own horn, I’ve made mediocre beef soup as you call it, and every other iteration of mediocre stew.

It’s funny but you see the same thing in sports, or I see it specifically in hockey. Phenom kid gets drafted and at 18 has the social skills of the hockey puck he’s playing with. By the time he’s 36 he’s not the player he once was but is a more well rounded individual with age and experience. When you focus all your energy to become the best at something, like a PhD, athlete, musician, whatever, you sacrifice some things along the way for sure.
This hits way too close to home. Bruce Willis (just your typical black haired cat) is an indoor/outdoor. Before anyone bites my head off, my wife found him on the streets of Asbury Park. He was probably three when she brought him home. He is beyond where we can be like no dude, you must remain indoors. There would be a breaking point that would end in someone dying, him or me, and probably me. He just needs to wander outside.
Anyway, at one point Bruce just stops eating, drinking, the whole nine, to the point it’s concerning. I know that when it’s my cat’s time, I’ll commit. I’m pro euthanasia in humans, and if my cat is suffering, I will end his suffering. But I will also exhaust some possibilities beforehand. Which I did. To the tune of like $4,000 worth of diagnostic testing and everything. Vets were stumped but tossed him on an antibiotic, which obviously he reacted well too, and so Bruce Willis lives. I’m confident this was a case of his feelings being hurt, because they found nothing wrong with him and the antibiotic was kind of a, well, can’t hurt. He’s soft, but he thinks he’s hard.
Eh, there are Christian denominations in my area flying pride flags and BLM flags. Granted, I live in a liberal area. But they’re not all bad. And I say this being very turned off by the idea of religion in general.
Midnight Club was my absolute jam back in the mid oughts, loved the shit out of that game. Kinda got away from the Arcade style racers, but that game has a special place for me.
