I used an iPod touch for calling over WiFi for years. It worked just fine, as long as one had a WiFi connection. Do it!

Nifty project! Any idea of the capacity?
Thanks! I’ll give it a gander. I was off hiking today, and used some crappy app to track my progress. I know there’s an open source ware that can do it, without invading my privacy; it’s time to start using that ‘ware.
Nice! I’m growing habanero, cayenne, ají amarillo, and a surprise bishops hat plant showed up, too, this year. I did a small batch lactoferment with habanero, cumin, garlic, and salt, already. Quite tasty, and hoping for more as the season progresses.
Bingo! This is the way. I only open chrome when I need to log into a google/ alphabet site on the unlikely occasion. And close it immediately after.
Jokes on you, Everett, your whole body is an incubator for microbes.
Can validate, this not avocado toast, but avocado waffers!
Oh, Carp! Brilliant work! Thanks for sharing!
You are, of course, quite correct. And for me today, it was the meme I needed. Dealing with the US medical system, requires perspective.
A review of the book would be great. Mostly I take what I have from the garden - this year it’s cayenne, habanero , and ají amarillo, add some garlic, spices, brine it, blend it, and call it tasty. I want to see if I can grow Madame Jeanette next year.
Thanks for asking. I was using incorrect terminology. It’s the Influenza B/Yamagata lineage which has probably gone extinct. According to this paper in The Lancet : https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanmic/article/PIIS2666-5247(24)00066-1/fulltext
The B/Victoria lineage persists. B/Yamagata has not been confirmed since March 2020 according to this paper : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9524051/
This paper from Nature goes into it a bit more, in particular wrt implications for vaccines: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41579-021-00642-4
Yep, this is why I will continue to wear a mask when indoors with other people. Masking, distancing, hand washing, and isolation when sick; simple behavioral changes that have already made two strains of influenza go extinct.
Not everyone has had Covid. And every thing is always changing. It’s because of research like this, which came out around Feb 2024, and lots of other research on post-viral syndromes, that I will continue to be cautious. And recommend to anyone that is willing to listen that they can significantly reduce, even nearly eliminate the chances of getting an URI by taking four or five simple, inexpensive measures.
I love biking those kind of car parks. Sure it’s hard going up, but it’s worth I it for the ride down.
Best use case.
Never trust atoms, they make up everything.
LoL, no, solitary bees are all about pollinating, and even that they do delicately. And they don’t build hives. Nor do they make honey.
Smae!
