I used it for the first time this morning. The motion sensor was surprisingly good at getting me out of bed. It even detected if I tried to get back in.

Yea, it’s called indexing, it’s well documented: https://www.oxfordbibliographies.com/display/document/obo-9780199756841/obo-9780199756841-0090.xml
Maybe Write Freely? You get 3 blogs for 6 dollars a month or you can host it yourself since it’s open source.
Immich might work.
If people actively pay for this, they are bloody idiots.
Yes, but they do it in a way that make rich people even richer. And the trickle down economy makes sure that it also makes politicians richer.
I think something like Simplex Chat is easier to use.
I’m sure the Saudis are super fair and would not dream of targeting queer people.
She links to a news article: https://www.saudigazette.com.sa/article/641746/SAUDI-ARABIA/Etidal-Telegram-remove-over-16-million-extremist-contents-in-early-2024
I don’t think Telegram denies doing mass surveillance. They might deny targeting queer groups and claim to only target extremist, whatever that means.
Maybe not Russia, but they sure are working with a certain government:
I mean it’s pretty bad to practice mass surveillance.
It’s not nothing if Telegram makes people believe they only share their location in a limited manner, but instead broadcast it to the whole world. That’s a serious breach of trust. I don’t know why Telegram users keep making excuses for that platform.
I wish they would support Mastodon instead. It would be better to just support open standards instead of platforms that are owned by crazy people.
“One rich dude I met once at a dinner party. Totally legit. “
Maybe he should focus on adding e2e encryption to the default chats and group chats instead of spreading FUD.
From Reddit:
“I bought an Umbrel.com home server hoping to have a dedicated device to run my favorite software on. I spent $500 and got an Umbrel.
Their “app store” is small, outdated (from an app update perspective), and filled with cryptocurrency junk. I should also mention that its difficult to use non-approved software, requiring your own GitHub repo with config files, docker setup, and a few other things. No one-click button to import software.
The hardware is half as good as a used 1L mini-PC that you can get on Amazon for $170, and itll give you more control.
The Umbrel has an HDMI port hidden inside, so if you want to use it you must cut a hole in the side for it. The only way to accees its interface is with a slow, buggy, and heavy web UI.
Don’t buy an Umbrel, buy a $100 used 1L machine and save yourself a headache and $400.
EDIT: I asked for a refund and was denied since they don’t offer them to anyone. Huge red flag!”
I mean, this is just called censorship. We censor things for kids and all kind of people in or lives all the time. We censor things for ourselves when we don’t feel like reading the news or opening a text from a specific person. This is not some novel concept.
Good for you
