Is it not also a great way to achieve harmony with life on earth and our technological advancements? Seems pretty cool that we can farm energy, while providing space and shade for other life as well.
Fuckin’ cool.

“Then there’s all the shit websites/apps that I don’t give a fuck about that now insist on having 2FA set up. They’re not interested in the security, it’s just to get your email and phone number to onsell your data to whoever.”
Of everything you wrote, this one had my eyes wide. Hadn’t even crossed my mind that could be a problem. 🤦🏽♂️
Good point. I guess it’s never really bothered me. It’s one of those things I’ve just come to expect nowadays.
I stand by it being cash money though. lmao
Hmm. Maybe I’m misunderstanding something fundamental about cyber security, but wouldn’t a server leak give you login credentials regardless of the uniqueness or amount of use a password has?
I might have thrown my hat into a ring I have no place in lmao
It’s also a protection against people who get their hands on your credentials though. You don’t really have any control over a server with your data on it getting compromised, right?
Do you not understand how much 2FA helps you? That shit is cash money.
It was more the fact that, while I stayed in Frankfurt (expo hall Frankfurt) for work, I got to go outside of the city and see a handful of different ‘villages’ and castles and stuff. It was really cool.
But I do understand where you’re coming from. Blows my mind that people would come to the US from another country and not come here:
That sounds so nice! I’m from America, am 32, make $35,000 a year and still live in my parents basement. I know I can “afford” an apartment, but I really don’t want to see ~50% of my pay go to rent. If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you make a month in Hamburg?
By the way, I’ve been to Germany a few times! Only ever around Frankfurt but it’s such a lovely country. ☺️
And I know it’s probably unheard of in America now, but $840 a month in rent is not that wildly low. I assume there’s more to it than just that though.
It’s thrifted be nice
Maybe not to you, but when 15,000 children have been murdered and an entire population is starving, then boiling a politician down to a single issue does make sense to me.
Typical American apathetic to genocide.
At least he cares about Palestinians. Unlike Kamala. Mrs. “Shut up, I’m talking”.
Same with the harsh 90* angle in the CA/TX border. That’s Utah, baby! 😎
I know it all too well, from liberals to conservatives. I’ve been out of the country only a handful of times and it’s pretty incredible experiencing other cities. I’ve only been to London, Frankfurt and Venice, but it’s so cool not having a car and not needing it. There are some examples of that in the US, but it is NOT the norm.
Not to mention the violence (or, lack thereof comparatively)
Ahhh, that’s a nice set up. Lucky! Really, I was asking because people love to say “fuck this country, I’m going to another!”, without really taking into consideration the figurative mountain you will have to climb to get there. That is to say, it’s extremely difficult to immigrate out of the US.
Also, I’d love a job like that. I’d be more interested in WFH flat out, but being able to do “whatever you want” and not have that negatively impact work would be nice as well.
Just curious: Where do you plan on going?
I don’t even think the ‘too difficult’ crowd will get behind this person. What an insanely stupid thing to try and pull off.
And if it is successful, all it will do is harm the gaming industry into hegemony.
I live in deep blue Utah with connections to the punk scene. The political apathy that has been expressed to me, while simultaneously wearing badges of pride and shit makes me want to vomit. Pure aesthetic bullshit, made even more hypocritical under the banner of ‘punk’.
I come from a state that has officially mandated that porn websites must verify your age to use them for years. There were many websites that just didn’t give a fuck. X videos in particular. They do now require you to hit a button saying “I’m 18” to process, but I think my point stands.
These laws do nothing, really.
What do you suggest people do then? Protest the vote and take to the streets? Not asking to be a dick, just genuinely curious.
