I did the same. Thank goodness for personal block lists.

I do know the addons (not the same as integrations) need the full OS yes. I have it on a Pi but you could do a virtual machine for HAOS (there is an official virtual machine image on their website, also make sure to pass through your matter/zigbee/etc USB adapter).
You could also just run the container Home Assistant version, and run any “addons” as other docker containers within CasaOS or Yuno host, and point the integrations at those. I imagine it would take a little bit of extra configuration but shouldn’t be too hard.

Sorry just seeing this, looks like there is a Home Assistant addon yes. Yunohost is very similar but seems to be more popular, so I’d say try both and see what you like.

Chocolatey and Windhawk

Took a long time, but nice to see this topic getting mainstream attention.

This is literally the answer lmao why are you getting downvoted.

Subscribed! Thanks for sharing. I have been considering creating a new reddit account to help spread the good word to the unsaved masses.

OP if you enjoy a fun weekend project, don’t go with a pi-hole. It literally only takes about 5 minutes. Also I recommend the blocklistproject lists https://blocklistproject.github.io/Lists/

Honestly curious what kind of content you believe requires less effort to post than an image macro?

Reddit mods have less power to remove unwanted speech than Lemmy admins do. If you are upset because mods would not let you say something in their communities, Lemmy is not going to be more accommodating for that.

If the article doesn’t define what “AI” means then the article doesn’t actually mean anything. Market research studying what people know about a vague and undefined term like “AI” can ultimately only produce undefined results.
It’s like asking people their feelings on “woke” or “god”. If everyone is talking about something different then nobody can have more or less understanding of it.

Activitypub accounts are portable actually. Lemmy is not as slick as Mastodon with this feature yet but will likely get there.
Lemmy’s design is fundamentally excellent to deal with bad actors, the whole point of ActivityPub/Federation is that moderation is much more effective while also preserving free speech. I’m not sure what that person on about.
I think Lemmy should be huge. Think about how many subreddits exist for every niche. It would be great if those places could exist free of corporate influence.
Federated platforms are significantly more effective than centralized ones at mitigating the influence of bad actors.

Is something finally going to federate with bluesky?

Surprised nobody’s mentioned this: https://reek.github.io/anti-adblock-killer/

Haha, Ulrich I noticed you on several threads the past few days correcting misinformation, thank you for your service.
This. The way I see it, if an admin can’t (or won’t) moderate their users, the problem can only get worse.
