I’m a huge fan of Burnout Paradise. The crash physics and cameras are so addicting that I’ll drive up and down the same street just flipping my car on its roof using the same split ramp just to see the carnage. The driving is a wonderful arcadey feel that makes insane turns easy to pull off, and the crashes make those insane turns addicting to completely fail.

Many people say the early Burnout games are better, but I’ve never played them and Paradise has remained entertaining for 17 years

Looking forward to “Backyard Ultimate Team” and all it’s associated micro transactions

I got my brother, who is not Linux-savvy, set up playing Clone Hero on his Steam Deck while I was thousands of miles away and it played with no input lag basically out of the box on SteamOS. If you’re looking for a good Guitar Hero experience on Linux with lots of custom songs, Clone Hero is for you.

If you’re looking for Guitar Hero with characters, venues, and no input lag on Linux I have nothing to suggest. :/

I can appreciate the thought experiment that is coming up with a framework for interplanetary timezones because some people probably enjoy the challenge.

Simultaneously I posit that it’s ambitious as fuck to assume that humanity is going to get off this rock before we burn it to the ground, or to assume that whoever gets off this rock will have enough people and resources to start a society that can grow while the society on Earth also survives.

Furthermore, as a software engineer, I say no thank you. Earth and other planets will function off of digital systems that never EVER communicate with each other, and we will be happy that way

I bought and still own a Razer Sixense Hydra. I would 100% have bought this thing had I owned a gaming PC back in 2007

There is absolutely nothing appealing about this to me. If I was at all interested in this 2 hour cutscene I’d just go watch a Fast and Furious movie for 10% of the price

I’d venture to say that ID has not yet released a bad DOOM game, however they did almost make Call of DOOM. Under Microsoft’s leadership I’d say they’re at risk of making the worst DOOM game ever, but we’ll have to wait and see

Inb4: all nostalgia hype, solid core gameplay, nothing new or groundbreaking, F2P multiplayer, battlepass grindfest. Bonus points if it’s an open world.

Microsoft has become all-too predictable and I have absolutely no faith that this game will be anything greater than Halo Infinite
