I love the idea of media expanding on the lore, but needing to insert a plot could ruin it
My only “solution” is a TV series instead of a movie and every episode should be a separate story
I’ve always wondered if there was a term for evolutionary changes that weren’t needed!

I ended up almost exclusively doing the Witcher missions since you usually learn what you’re going to fight

Thank you!

Is there any kind of “plot says no” response to magic? Something like the doors in oblivion where you need a key to unlock
BleatingZombie@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — 10th Anniversary TrailerEnglish101·1 month agoI know exactly what you mean. I started it 3 times before I got into it
In my opinion, a lot of the gameplay is fairly generic. Attacking a wraith feels the same as attacking a human
It really shines in the immersion and story, though. The first two times I played it, I was skipping all of the dialog and cutscenes (depression is a bitch), so I missed all the good parts
Once you get into the mindset of “hunting” one of the monsters and selecting the right oils and potions, it can be really fun and feel almost like “strategy”. For example, there’s a potion that turns your blood poisonous to vampires
It would be really funny if they weren’t expecting it to
Or total time it takes to be consumed

That was the exact quote
I know that was hardly related to the post, but it reminded me of that and I needed to vent to my therapist (aka strangers on Lemmy)
Your body, their choice

I didn’t realize that the “God Mode” setting doesn’t do what it does in every other game. It essentially makes the game easier with each death. It’s been a lot easier to pick it up and put it down than when I played it in the past

I played a lot of turn based RPGs

The only place I’ve seen it is if you didn’t finish paying for it (like getting a fence replaced at your house and then not paying them will get it torn down)
