I don’t have an Xbox, but I’m thrilled any time companies add good customizable accessibility options. It’s good for folks who really need it, but also usually good for those of us who just like to customize everything as much as possible. Everybody wins.
I had the same experience with pretty much the same hardware. I played right after launch and had one or two crashes and a few stutters here and there, but otherwise I found it to be a surprisingly stable game, especially considering the wildly negative press it was getting at the time.
I played it on my RTX 3070 shortly after launch, and while there were certainly some stutters here and there and the very occasional crash, for the most part it actually ran fine. I think the poor quality of the PC port has been seriously overblown. Granted I don’t care much about sustaining insanely high frame rates, but the game itself was amazing on its own, and even better having played and enjoyed the first one. Well worth any remaining technical glitches.
Driftaway Coffee. I think they’re based in Brooklyn, but I have their subscription shipped to the west coast. They roast and ship on the same day, so I always get freshly roasted beans within a couple days of getting the shipment notification. They focus on sustainability, appear to pay their growers way more than the average, and many of the farms they buy from are women-owned and operated. Been super happy with the quality, and they provide little info-cards with each bag giving details about the region, growers, and tasting notes, so I’ve built up a cool little history/collection so I can always look back and remember a bean I particularly liked.
It’s…difficult to describe. When it’s done properly (like this post), it tastes amazing. When it’s boiled or steamed, it straight up makes me gag.

That’s ArcGIS Desktop. Recently deprecated software (depending on who you ask) that is incredibly powerful, but equally infuriating and awful. Has been supplanted by ArcGIS Pro, which is also powerful and slightly less infuriating and awful, but still very much so.

For sure! And it can still definitely be used as quick reference in the field, I just want the students out there to know that colors are hard and can be surprisingly subjective out in the glaring sunlight.
Very cool resource! A word of warning though: don’t use this in the field. Your laptop/tablet/phone screen does not show true colors unless you’ve somehow done color-calibration, which most people won’t. There’s a reason the printed booklets are so expensive. Accurately recreating real colors is harder than you might think.
I’m really curious what he thinks about it. On the one hand, his female roles are a big part of his career, and he’s been a solid actor for years. On the other hand, I can totally empathize with just not wanting to see that name ever again.
It’s not the same thing, but we don’t go back and edit credits when actors change their names because of marriage or divorce, but that’s less about their identity as a person and more just that they got married, so not a great example.
Can any trans folks chime in with their thoughts on how to deal with retroactive credits? Doesn’t have to be just film and television, but anywhere that people are credited for their work. Super curious what people think the standard should be.

This is my go-to as well. They’re expensive, but the design is well worth it imo. They’re so damn sleek! They have amazing heat retention, and I love the little splash guard they include. I’ve only used the standard lid, but I’d like to try the slide one at some point.
I just can’t stress enough how sexy this thing is. It’s the only Fellow product I can justify splurging on.
Surprised that Arrowhead plants (syngonium) aren’t included on the list. There’s a good variety of colors, and they need way less attention than I expected. I’m having pretty great luck with them in my low-light apartment.

Same. I’m so glad we somehow had cable on these things, because my class watched it happen live, right after wheeling this cart in to watch a history documentary. Lots of other teachers turned it off because tons of kids in my school had parents working in those buildings, but my teacher knew it was an important thing for us to see.
