think of the bird’s claw as a small torque wrench … similarly, when we unscrew the cap of a jar, we notice that our hands have a limited torque capacity.

This article was motivating for me by highlighting how much research, learning and cogitation are more important than typing programs.
Could be the right hand side or the left hand side of an equation* or of an inequation** whatever.
(*) equations have “=” in middle
(**) inequations have “=<” (or …) in middle.

[rant] . All authors that often say things like : “we can simply do this or that” … for me, is dismissive humble bragging. And, if they really wanted to encourage readers they would say : “in the following equation we used substitution” … something descriptive.
Every time we study a new subject it is always difficult at first and seeing someone bragging, saying it is simple for them, is never encouraging.
“The SOFAR channel (short for sound fixing and ranging channel) … is a horizontal layer of water in the ocean at which depth the speed of sound is at its minimum” …
“The SOFAR channel acts as a waveguide for sound, and low frequency sound waves within the channel may travel thousands of miles before dissipating.” …

GPT told me it was “Standard Operating Procedure” in the context of the previous comment. That wasn enough for me. I didn’t have to know it applies to your job in an English speaking country.
i agree because what I usually mean when i talk of science is scientific work even if this work doesn’t result in proving that an hypothesis is right so that it becomes a scientific theory.
For me the main criteria is to follow the scientific method.
Thanks ! … if anyone else wants to know :
SOP stands for Standard Operating Procedure. Within secret scientific research groups, SOPs are established guidelines or instructions for carrying out routine operations to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with regulations. These SOPs help maintain integrity, confidentiality, and efficiency within the research group.
The rules and conventions to do science today are quite well known and understood by educated people (including of course Helen Mosque) … but any rules have exceptions :
Project Manhattan to produce the atomic bomb was secret science : in many countries military will have secret science development. Pharmaceutical companies will do as well.
People in those projects will not have recognition by the wider public but they will have recognition from their group.
To be slowed, stopped : include the following projects:
Red Hat build of OpenJDK
Red Hat build of Node.js
Red Hat build of Eclipse Vert.x
Red Hat JBoss EAP
Red Hat build of Apache Camel
Red Hat build of Apicurio Registry

In the event of a roll back, any data created by users will be lost, (…)
You mean to say : “any data created for these few hours” …right ? …Right ?
What do you mean when you say a “response body”? What is it ? Does it show anywhere in a browser ?
Opera browser (with data saving on) is now blocked since your (this one) change.
P.S. : this post should be pinned to the entire site (not only to this community).
Whoops, thanks ! I made the correction
that was a nice read for me including historical popularity of different programming language here :
