Today’s game is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. today was exhausting and i really didn’t feel like continuing Jedi Fallen Order tonight (still loving the game though), so i decided to take it easy and play Ocarina Of Time. I have a lot of fond memories of this game ever since i played the 3DS remaster in middle school. I’d probably put it in my top ten games of all time. I played through quite a bit and made it to Dodongo’s Cavern. I’ve gotten kind of invested in this save so i may keep this up since i can milk a good 7 hours of battery life out of it on my steam deck and keep Fallen Order for when i’m at home on the Dock.
I also loved this game on the 3DS. I’ve recently been playing the N64 version as well, and I gotta say the 3DS version is so much better. I’m not sure what it is, but movement feels a lot less precise to me in the N64 version. I have some replays of me trying, and failing, to break a pot with my sword as adult link, like 8 times before finally hitting it.
Also, I finally understand why everyone hates the water temple. The iron boots aren’t an item in this version, so you have to go to the equipment menu every time you want to put them on/take them off.
The iron boots mess is fixed in the PC (and etc) recompilation that OP is playing. Ship of Harkinian.
Oh yeah, totally forgot about that project! Hmm well might have to start over again then :)
I loved the water temple on 3DS, and never understood why people hated it. then i bought a Cart of the N64 version… and now i get it
