Hi. Following on from my previous giveaway last month, I now have FOUR TorrentLeech invites that I’m just giving away. No bullshit, just say you want it and it might be yours.

My IRL friends wouldn’t have a clue what to do with these so I’m just giving them away again.

I’ll probably leave this up for 24hrs or so and then, as before, choose four people at random. Good luck :)

EDIT: I closed this early due to the crazy amount of responses. I took the number of responses (160!) and ran it through an RNG 4 times to make this fair. Congratulations to @whereBeWaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com @SoaringDE@feddit.de @notdeadyet@lemmy.dbzer0.com and @myersguy@lemmy.simpl.website

It’s not like a public tracker. Please watch out and read the rules before downloading.

Edit: The fuck am I being downvoted for? Inconsiderate users that want newbies to fail :|

Basically your are being held responsible for seeding it either 1:1 or for some time if you cant reach that goal.

Longevity is rewarded on some trackers with more bonus points you can trade for stuff like Upload credits. The longer you seed, the more you can get per seed.

Usually privates can get exclusive stuff which trickles to public trackers but they also pull from public (like anime from nyaa) and reseed them here.
Some private tracker users are unable to download from public because either their ISP watches that more closely or their seedbox provider does not permit it/banned connections

The general quality is >=720p and usally a higher bitrate than public ones.

Sime trackers are general (like 1337x and TL), specific for movie and tv (like RARBG and Blu) and some others for topics like ebooks and audiobooks, music/-videos, learning materials.
Some may even only allow content that was produced >10 years ago (cathode) or something like cartoons (old toons) or culture specific (like jptv and nyaa) only.

            Yes and yes.
Keep an eye open for opensignup pages on the interwebz for trackers. Some open entirely while others you need to apply for with seed proof (public seed does not matter).

Some private trackers may have an invite forum. You could try to achieve a class with access to it (usually a high threshold of seed or commitment, showing you know how the rules of such sites work)

Thanks, I’ll look into trying to get in, building up my TL ratio (unless they’d take my IPT ratio, but many don’t.)

As you said, some may or may not accept the proof.
BUT: Some trackers proof may be worth less or more than others.
