I would buy a Zenfone in a heartbeat if they had more than 2 years of support. Apple’s doing 6 years. Microsoft is doing effectively infinite. I don’t get why every Android manufacturer other than Samsung and Google seem so bent on producing mountains of e-waste.

I believe asus has increased that starting with this phone, reviews online say 2 major android versions and I thought it was 3 years of security updates but androidauthority says 4 years

If there was lineageos support I might consider it - I only see up to the 8 on the site (and not sure what to expect). it’s frustrating because in a lot of ways this is the perfect phone for me. the 2 years of support is a huge dealbreaker –

This phone looks awesome. I’m going to get it if the Pixel 8 is a dud. Note that it does not work on Verizon, Sprint, or US Cellular.

Excited and thinking about ordering this probably mid September it looks like, once it’s out. Zenfone 9 didn’t seem to fully support all Tmobile bands or features so hopefully that isn’t the case for the 10.

Yea same. And I wouldn’t buy an Xperia as someone suggested, as someone I know has one and it has horrible reception (wifi and mobile). Whatever they did with the antennas isn’t working. Maybe it’s better on newer models?

Headphone jack will remain an absolute requirement for me as well. No jack, no buy.
