    At best you’re gonna be able to get them to stay off while you’re home. They’re inquisitive toddlers with a 4-foot vertical jump. You shouldn’t be making food directly on the countertop anyway. Just clean your cutting/prep surfaces before use as a matter of habit, and if possible store them vertical (between the canisters and wall works for me).
