The Astra-Gnome is a concept car by industrial designer Richard Arbib using a 1955 Nash Metropolitan chassis. It was described as a “Time and Space Car”. It features themes influenced by the space travel forms that were popular during the 1950s. The vehicle represented Arbib’s vision of what an automobile would look like in the year 2000.
Snazzy interior shot:

Yes, except in this case, Simpsons did it second.
More like Amy Wong’s car. I can’t find a good screen grab, but it looks very similar.
Thunder cougar falcon bird.

No, hers was the Beta Romeo. The other salesman was trying to sell Fry the Thundercougarfalconbird.
It didn’t have nearly as much eagle, though.
Interesting that all the sketches/ photos feature women drivers. Apparently it’s part of a traveling display of cars, but I’ve no idea where it is now.
I think, it was a thing around the 50s, that women driving a car was seen as progressive?
Ah, found a source, which also says basically that: https://www.vintag.es/2025/08/1950s-women-with-automobiles.html
It looks amazing, and so does the diversity in ways this thing is life threatening dangerous.
Interior looks dope, exterior is horseshit sorry. I’d dig it for a submarine though.
We need this car! 😁
just a concept, but you can see more / read more here:

As a flying car? Cool! As a ground vehicle? Actually the worst possible combinations of ideas.
Ever sat up front in a plane? It’s intensely hot even with a roof. The sun would cook you alive in that thing, even on the ground.
