Build your city, forge your empire, and conquer the world in Kaiserpunk, the Grand City Builder set in an alternative history from 1918 to 1945 – the ‘Interbellum Era’. After WWI, city-states rise from the ashes, each vying for dominance.
I am not too sure what the alternative history part is here, what is different from the real world? Is it actually just real life history up to 1918, and the player influences what happens once they start the game so historical outcomes change? Or did things go down differently pre-1918 in this game? Hard to tell from just the Steam description.
Yeah, they are not really clear regarding their approach around alt history.
I really like the concept, I find pure grand strategy a bit unappealing, so this seems like a good hybrid.
I was really disappointed to see mixed reviews on Steam.
