Yeah I thought about it more, but its hard to imagine this platform would just dissapear now that it has so many users and everyone has access to the current codebase, maybe a rough period but wouldn’t app devs like mlem, vyger, etc. take some time and shift to supporting piefed/mbin and then eventually itd be back to normal, not saying there wouldn’t be a rough period.
