Homemade pizza/pasta sauce recipe (100% better than store bought) :

Ingredients:

• 1 can of tomato pulp (Polpa Mutti is ma favorite)
• 1 onion, finely diced
• 1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
• dried herbs (oregano, thyme, rosemary mainly)
• Fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips
• A pinch of sugar (optional if too acidic)

Instructions:

• Sauté the onions in olive oil with a bit of salt (~5-10 min). Deglaze with a bit of water if they start to grill.
• Once browned and soft, add crushed garlic, tomato pulp and herbs
• Slowly cook on low heat until almost dried (~1/2h to 1h)
• Optional: add a couple spoons of pasta water to rehydrate it
• Adjust seasoning (salt, pepper, suger if needed)
• Add basil leaves just before serving

Il not even sure it’s possible. It might work for ballpark, “decent enough” settings but would that even be better than factory settings?

I have 2 PETG colors from the same brand that behave widely differently. I’ve seen batches of the exact same brand, material and color needing different temperature and retraction settings.

Each printer seems unique and seems to need slightly different settings than the next. Mechanical components wear out and drift out of tune. Thermocouples and hall sensors can drift. When rebuilding or upgrading your hotend, chances are you’ll need to recalibrate everything. Belts need regular retensioning and that might affect motion settings.

Dunno where you are but the carbon steel pans from De Buyer are very high quality and awesome, for a reasonable price in Europe.

That’s why those fuckers love LLMs so much. They don’t understand anything remotely technical, and it makes them believe they can just cut out the grumpy, uncooperative middleman and push shit code in production they are unable to audit.

Unfortunately Fusion360 has no official Linux support and is not easy to download and install, while Onshape is browser-based so OS-agnostic.

Yeah FreeCAD has a pretty rough learning curve. Especially since you need to learn parametric and its UI at the same time. I still mostly use OnShape because it’s become second nature, but last time I tried FreeCAD it was much easier since I only had to learn the UI.

Maybe give OnShape a try. Its interface is really good and will let you learn parametric CAD in one of the best conditions possible.

Yes this is normal. You have to group shapes to make them a single object.

On an unrelated note, TinketCAD is ok to make simple shapes quickly, but once you start working with complex geometry, it quickly becomes a nightmare. Parametric CAD (Onshape or FreeCAD) is infinitely superior in this regard.
