Why not?

1. By buying a Pixel phone and degoogling it, you are rewarding good behaviour and punishing bad behaviour, corporations need to be trained like dogs.
2. Google is not going anywhere and their primary objective is profit. By buying a Pixel you are signaling to them a viable revenue stream that doesn’t violate people’s privacy.
3. You don’t even need to give money to google directly, you can buy a second hand-one.

I say, vote with your wallet.

To me crypto has some genuine projects, although it is dominated by scammers and grifters. Nym, which is a mixnet project, with a token to incentivize people to host nodes, and Stasis Euro, a euro-backed stablecoin, look pretty legitimate. I believe there really are honest, well-intentioned crypto projects, though they are a minority and largely suffer from redundancy or poor implementation.

NFT’s are 100% a scam though.

EDIT: Well, this aged like milk. If you happen to have a phone that is not easily unlockable or that has no well-maintained AOSP ROM, Universal Android Debloater is a pretty decent way to clean up your OS.

The second page is taken up entirely by Telegram FOSS (stock client with proprietary dependencies purged) and FairEmail widgets, but I’m not showing y’all my chats :P

I usually don’t have any apps on my homescreen, except the dock, and I use it as a dashboard while launching apps from the drawer.

Apps in dock are Koler, QKSMS, Telegram FOSS and Gcam apk (don’t remember from where).
