Decompilation is definitely the path forward. Not only does it preserve games and allow you to play enhanced native versions, they’re totally legal and won’t get you into hot water. I played Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time at 60fps and it was glorious.

I’d argue their timing was very fortunate since GTA 6 got pushed to next year. That game would’ve dominated the popularity votes on all the GOTY shows.
Why is the title worded that way, he literally was pirating. It isn’t ‘Suspicions’ to use a MIG cartridge.

I could tell it’s a fighting game from the second screenshot but I don’t know this series.

Makes me unreasonably angry that the same franchise has different names

The next update after this one should be the official release out of early access, I can’t wait!
The trailer also shows the extreme measures counterpart for Hades 2 (powered up bosses), and wow they look more punishing than the first game. The third boss being surrounded by lava will be a nightmare.
Multiple new scylla songs too, Supergiant are spoiling us.
The art isn’t even the biggest issue, the playtest was already reviewing poorly before everybody discovered the art was stolen.
Still weird that this was supposed to release a few months after announcenent then got internally canned and totally restarted development.
Wholesome: People are applying for more membership cards as wars escalate and thousands of missiles are being fired at people’s homes. Uplifting news!
From what I’ve seen, it’s the latter. It’s a very mediocre GTA clone that’s full of bugs and is very forgettable in every way. The writing is also very bad.
Or the developers created a roadmap of updates in 2024 for their early access game then disappeared without any warning and didn’t deliver on their promises. It’s not the end of the world but writing negative reviews because the developers didn’t deliver isn’t entitlement.
Who are “people” in this scenario because I haven’t seen a single person claim Cyberpunk is running at 60fps or the Switch can output 4k 120fps.
Most that you included aren’t really associated with PC anymore though. Geralt, Doomguy, Vault boy, BJ Blazkowicz etc are very popular on consoles too. The only one I would say qualifies for real would be Gordon Freeman, since half-life is usually referred to as one of the great PC classics.
I noticed this earlier when Helldivers 2 appeared on my Steam page out of nowhere. It really is about time.
Oh, I haven’t played in a while so I didn’t know this was a thing. That sucks…
Making a few DLCs aren’t microtransactions, they add a lot and are fairly prices in my opinion

Yes, reverse engineering is totally legal. The big asterisk here is that you can’t distribute any assets the company owns, so you need the original game files regardless to play the decompiled version.
