Valid, but many backpacks don’t have those dedicated headphone holes. I was thinking of something that could clip to the shoulder straps (or I guess this existing design could be adapted for MOLLE-style rigging as well with a simple measurement).
It’s time to Escape From Reality! :3

This actually would be kind of neat as a backpack atrachment.

Well dang! I was thinking it would be someone else, but that’ll do.

DS generations are probably the last ones worth playing - although hard to emulate on a phone with comfortable controls, I’d imagine.

Emudeck is pretty easy to work with (although be careful where you get your “switch dependencies”).
Aurora should actually say in the description of the installation/update screen if the app requires google play services or any telemetry at all (or for that matter, google sign in).

Woo CS:Source mentioned!!!

If fairphone had the hardware support and kept up with modern android versions, GOS would have no beef.

Self hosting stoat is gonna be awesome for my community :)

GrapheneOS has guides for installing regardless of platform, here’s the relevant page on their official site.
GrapheneOS supports a “duress password” that you can enter to lock up the phone and securely erase any data stored - it’s designed for those situations (so just push that pin in if you’re in that situation).

Actually it’s not because there are third party clients available that you can use without any interactions with google services. I’m using Clerotri on GrapheneOS right now.

(Selfhosting, not using a model that is not hosted on your own hardware)

Step 1 - don’t use apps on a phone and instead use an appropriate open source sandbox on an actual x86 machine.
The mobile-focused development cycle and its consequences have been a disaster for user agency.

Grayjay does allow you to use an account only for age gate/content gate authentication, so I wonder if there are any burner or public google accounts that could be repurposed for that (junk because multiple people use them)
“I don’t think those were ordinary berries, bro.”

Rampocalypse is to blame. They’re simply not manufacturing any more units until memory prices drop (since raising prices on the SD would be a PR nightmare and they wouldn’t be able to eat the margins without that).

Didn’t Louis Rossmann say that the conversion rate when they briefly ran repair shop ads was less than 2% or something similar? I think he referred to it when talking about using adblock and donating/buying merch for your favorite creators instead.

The multiple layers of redundancy would likely clash with Adnauseum, yeah. Although that probably is just wasted compute - you may only need one or two of those solutions to have effective adblocking (uBlock for supported browsers, pi.hole for devices unable to have uBlock installed) rather than all 3 at once.
Best time was yesterday, second best is now! :3
