Games@lemmy.world•BREAKING: PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games (Demon's Souls/Shadow of the Colossus remakes)English
1381·17 days agoIf only there were some other incredibly highly desired From Software game that people have been shouting at Sony to assign to the Bluepoint team specifically to remake.
You know, an obvious choice with an existing fanbase that would literally open their wallets and tell Sony to take whatever they want in order to play it.

37·1 month agoI gave up on this game a long time ago. It took me longer than it should’ve to realize that “old Blizzard” is gone and not coming back.

661·1 month agoA professor once gave me similar advice when I was trying to get into grad school. I repeated a bunch of advice I had heard from other students who were struggling with the same thing, and he said “Why are you listening to them? Go ask the grad students here who have already gotten into grad school.”
It was such obvious advice in retrospect, but it was eye-opening for me at the time, and I’ve applied it to many other parts of life.

42·2 months agoWhat do you do if your cat tries wake you up by biting paper, turning on lights, and opening/closing cabinets?
Asking for myself. It’s been 15 years without a good solution…

60·2 months agoAssuming this is anything above pre-k, I’d be hoping that the parents would respond with “Sorry we’ve spoken with him about this unacceptable behavior / we’re connecting with a children’s counselor to address anger issues / etc.”
If it’s at the point that I’m getting punched in the face at work, I might also be annoyed at their response being

2·2 months agoI procrastinated doing this for years, then finally set up a NAS a few months ago and backed everything up so that I could make the switch. It was worth it.

5·2 months agoIf you can figure out the answer to this question, you deserve a Nobel prize.
Every country on earth seems to be seeing the same phenomenon: the more developed and comfortable life in your country gets, the more your birthrate tanks. There are lots of theories, but nobody seems to have a good explanation or know what to do about it.

63·2 months agoSomeone doesn’t know about the great rebirth of 2026.
I usually have a decent feel for what is going to set people off around here, but sometimes it’s a complete surprise.
I posted 2 memes back to back the other day, and I thought the riskier one was the one using an Alex Jones template, because in the past, people have been snappy about seeing problematic figures in templates, even if the joke was unrelated. Nope, what filled my inbox with angry replies was a meme poking fun at the high prices at farmers markets.
I hope you can be free of it one day. I’m 4 months into Linux now and have not looked back. I was fortunate enough to not need any windows-exclusive apps.
Ah, damn it.

It makes me think there must be something more to the story. Bad blood? FromSoft not wanting to make it an exclusive?
Otherwise, I just don’t get it either. I’m not a businessman, but that seems as close to risk-free money as you can get.
