Secret Music 🎵 [they/them]
What secret music do I hear
Upon the drums of my ear
What great pleasure I feel
I come from nowhere and I shall return
Because of you people I will flee
I see my late identity burn

3·1 day agoThat sounds great, I could do that. There’s no reason you can’t still ‘sleep over’ or even spend the week or practically live together anyway. As long as each person still has their space to retreat to (without anyone getting upset about it) and no one is left feeling trapped in their own life.
Even if you lived in the house, because let’s face it times are tough, at the very least seperate bedrooms are a must.

6·1 day agoPretty much same. At this point I’m not sure if the idea of a relationship even appeals to me anymore. Sharing a bed and cupboard and your general space 24/7 also frightens me a bit at this point.
I think that if I did start dating or whatever again, the idea of relationship anarchy appeals to me these days. The part about keeping expectations and feelings of ownership in check. And respecting that other people are individuals with their own lives.

1·3 days agoHow does an occasional music post around here sound? I don’t want to promise weekly or monthly or even that I’ll start right now but I’ve been listening to a lot of new (to me) music, particularly focussing on music with a woman’s voice (alternative / punk / metal to be specific). I’m also starting to see some pretty cool up and comers in my feeds. Itching to start sharing with people who are actually interested. Does this interest people around here?
A few months ago (on my original Blåhaj account), I posted elsewhere asking for suggestions on punk and heavy music with female vocalists. This is ended up starting a ball rolling for me, a new longer term fixation to keep me going for a few years in between the little obsessions lol.
Originally I was planning on doing on doing a post or two with a master list for people to refer to based on genre etc. I’d still like to do that but the more I discover and the more rabbit holes I go down, the longer term that idea is becoming. I also tend to get stuck on and obsessed with one or two bands or artists for a while, so it’s going to take time to really get through everything.

5·3 days ago- My two older sisters, repeatedly throughout my life and in multiple ways.
- Various punk rockers for steering me away from potentially ending up like a stereotypical white South African always aligned with the worst of world politics like they do it on purpose.
- And more recently, I’m gonna be corny and sentimental and say you and everyone here for kindly accepting me around.
- And the Blåhaj community in general for being the best examples of open minded and awesome human beings while I was looking for myself.

I really hope this isn’t a copy paste of that Reddit legend lol. Otherwise I love your story! I love these birds more, the more I read about them.
In my part of the world in South Africa, the only corvid type I ever (seldomly) see around is the Pied Crow. They’re also fairly large and I wouldn’t want to mess with an aggressive one. I’ve never really heard of people befriending them or having any particular trouble with them around here though. And I only ever see one, maybe two at a time.

6·7 days agoI feel like I have a lot in a big barrel that sloshes and spills sometimes. I was a “sensitive” kid that cried at movies and TV, and animals in the SPCA, and vandalized trees. Somewhere along the way I had to get it under control or store it, probably around starting school and needing to putting a mask on in general. Not to say that I never had embarrassing moments from that point on.
I still cry about both big and small things, when I’m in my own space. And one of things that I love about watching movies and series by myself with earphones in is that I get to cry at dumb shit uninterrupted and not feeling self conscious. I rewatched Harley Quinn and cried my eyes out at the finale of that goofy shit lol.

Not sure if that’s any better. I think I’m actually just gonna delete this post because I thought it was cute but this is just sad either way.
Oof I really hope not. These hairless type cats often have curly tails, I just thought this was extra curly. Now I’m thinking I should just delete the post…

Yeah, Bruce Wayne is an eccentric rich guy in a city full of eccentric rich people up to their own shenanigans. And depending on the timeline or continuity, he doesn’t even run his own company most of the time, so wouldn’t necessarily be in the public eye all the time.
For Clark Kent, I’ve always loved the idea of certain key figures in the Daily Planet figuring it out themselves but keeping it to themselves. In the new movie, I very much got the impression that Perry White and Jimmy Olsen know. And IMO, ever since Lois figured it out herself in My Adventures with Superman, that’s the way it always should be from now and the versions where Superman keeps the secret for years and years aren’t the same now.
For me, the ones where it gets difficult to justify their secret identities remaining intact for long are characters like Static or Spider-Man that still go to school and live with their parents / guardians, and regularly slip away during trouble to regularly rescue their friends and family as their superhero selves.
