RPGMemes @ttrpg.network•Splitting the party from session 1English
1·5 months agoDisagree. The DM should provide some sort of reason for the party to come together. Some sort of external influence, to bring in any characters that don’t start the game together.
But it is the duty of the player to roll with it. Don’t fight the plot hook. What’s the point?

Technology@beehaw.org•Telegram is indistinguishable from an FSB honeypotEnglish
10·5 months agoIf you were to use their network to take advantage of the features for anything that the “predator” behind doesn’t care, you’re fine.
But what will the predator care about tomorrow? Or next year? And how confident are you that aggregate data is not what they want, for whatever reason?

That would be a planet-eating star, OR a star eating a planet.
Shouldn’t journalists be able to construct sentences?

131·6 months agoNot a sequel. Just because it’s not Portal 1. The fact that it’s second is not the problem. The problem is that the first one was flawless.

Games@lemmy.world•What games are just objective masterpieces?English
53·6 months agoPortal 1 was flawless. Portal 2 had a crucial flaw.
Specifically, it was not Portal 1. Everything else was perfect.

4·6 months agoOther than that, it seems fairly accurate.
I understand, intellectually, that some people might love this.
To me, this is on the same level as offering to set my building materials on fire before I build my house. I can’t imagine any way this could make things better.

Steam Deck@sopuli.xyz•Steam OS page gets a redesign, finally retiring the old design from the Steam OS 2.0 eraEnglish
6·6 months agoAppreciate the heads up. I’m pretty sure it’s an AMD processor, but I don’t know about the video card.
Is Bazzite an OS that I would use, or is it a set of drivers that lets SteamOS play nice with Nvidia?

171·6 months agoI’ve got a gaming laptop from a few years back. Republic of gamers, or some such nonsense.
Been thinking of switching to some brand of Linux. Seems like this might be a good way to try it out.

Comes from all the nonsense I talk.
