As Lemmy grows it would really good if we have more tools to filter out low quality users.
- RES like user tagging. Boost is already one of the few apps that has user tagging but it would be nice if they added the vote counter as well as the origin comment the user was tag based off of.
- Communities they are banned from and why
- Lowest voted comments
For sure, I’d love some more moderation and admin tools, especially on desktop because that’s where I do a lot of the more detailed stuff
On Reddit we have Mod Toolbox alongside RES, which allows for mods to add usernotes to people with small messages on what to look out for. Reddit also makes it easier to see when someone was banned, and for how long. Lemmy doesn’t have a lot of those features yet, which makes it harder to keep track of what was done. So far I’ve been moderating from memory of what was already done. Admins can also check the logs for things like IP addresses, to tie things together
