Weird patterning on these two odd leaves from two separate plants. The rest of the plants are fine with new growth. I recently let it dry out a bit as I got caught up with life, could be a cause, but it seems like it’s a possible nutrient issue. I did feed it recently.
Do you feed your plants at all? Or do they only get water?
I know nothing about philodendrons, but I do grow a lot of plants and could help you troubleshoot.
I just fed it before Christmas.
What/how do you feed, and normally how often?
Also, how old were the leaves? Oldest they had, kinda middle of the stem, etc?
And whats your lighting like? Window sun, led, outdoor?
Mid stem, half light, feed every few months with generic food. Might be because I moved it for repotting.
Mm, did the move change temps? It could be cold or heat damage, Ive seen yellowing and drop off from cold damage on other plants.
Actually I moved it to the warmer room!
Maybe that? If its close to the heating source?
Depending on how dry it got, it could have been reclaiming the nutrients from the leaf, but I dont know how that would explain the black spots.
I found this site that appears to have a photo just like yours calling it a bacterial infection. Maybe this is the answer?
This is what I was worried about, thanks for that link. Luckily I already have their suggested solution in the Amazon cart! :)
That looks fungal to me.
