Pro-tip: pause the film when you do that.
It bothers me so much when people get distracted but don’t pause the movie. Sometimes they go to the bathroom and tell me not to pause it and I don’t care, I’m pausing it anyway! They’re going to watch it all whether they want to or not.
Alternatively: rewind back to the point where you stopped paying attention.
Way easier said than done.
Go back: “not far enough”
Go back further: “I remember this”
“Wait no whats going on? I missed something”
Goes back again: “definitely saw this, should probably fast forward some”
“Shit too far.”
“If only I hadn’t lost all my fingers in that industrial accident! Blast! Uh…too far.”
Pri-tip: We have rewind now.
I don’t need to do that. My partner can tell me what happened each minute, their screen names, the actors, and why things have happened. She’s amazing, but not everyone has a screen savant like I have.

See a name I kind of recognize

Wonder where I’ve seen that make before

You might consider using the “Pause” button
Netflix: we gotchu fam. Just keep watching, we’ll repeat the plot of the shitty movie you’re watching at least 4 more times.
i hate to be that person, but this is exactly how i experience ADHD in every facet of my life lmao

Dyspraxia can confirm me too. Only difference is I’d drop my phone twice doing it
Same

One of the best bits of advice I’ve ever read was simply to put your phone facedown, out of reach when you want to do something.
It doesn’t always work but it cuts down my random phone nonsense by a lot.
Admittedly, ol hyperactive brain still gets lost thinking about dinosaurs or some shit too often but it feels healthier.
The answer to what you’ve seen them in is always star trek.
Maybe just, you know, don’t do that?
Get out of my head. Damnit!

Are you my wife? She also has the super power of asking a question about 5 seconds before the show/movie answers it.
