I have always appreciated the efficiency of Give Directly: 80% of what you donate becomes unconditional cash in someone in need’s pocket (the remaining 20% is used to cover the costs of the logistics of getting that money to the person).
Apolitical charity? What are some examples of those? I feel like that’s kind of contradictory.
As in not donating to say, “Democrat kitten support fund” or something. So nothing clearly aligned with a political party etc

This is a more serious one, but End the Backlog is one charity doing really important work. I would hope that this is a nonpartisan issue, but so many basic things that shouldn’t be political are politicized these days.
